Irish Raptor looks the solid one. Not least in that I'm taken that he's in this easier race whilst those he ran against last time are entered up in the bigger races Saturday. Plenty of doubts about the others, despite Schuh Shine's hurdling sequence.

I used to go to this meeting and the other military one that follows it most years. Not for the army obviously, simply because it's a mid-week day out at my local track. I believe I must have seen dear old Alers-Hankey fall at pretty much every fence at the course in that time, and another year on here he is again locking pistols with his arch nemesis Captain Snowden, (Major Ellwood must be off doing something imperial). Whitenzo won this two years ago without even thinking. Not hard to think he can defy the penalties against Back Nine.
