I'm going to play a match bet here. Warwrinka is evens against Safin. Safin is mecurial and riding the high of beating Djokovic. A fading star with one last hurrah maybe. Warwrinka is up and coming but on a surface he hasn't yet shone on. He's beaten Safin twice easily – breaking his serve 50% of the time. He's the one with real improvement in him, and yet is already ranked way higher than Safin who could easily throw in a sulky performance. Warwrinka should surely be odds on.

(Youmzain's a dog. Oh. That sums up yesterday. A loss on the week. At least the stake is simpler to account now. Today's tennis bets probably don't strictly fit into this system and I may be cross with myself later.)

Yep - cross with myself - Baghdatis wastes 3 match points - Tipsarevic currently losing. Both v poor bets under the barking bets banner.
