Weds 13th August

£500 Challenge Bet” (£1100 – 2 bets inplay – accounted)

An unusual bet (for me) today. Here's Arsenal's first ten fixtures:
West Brom (h)
Fulham (a)
Newcastle (h)
Blackburn (a)
Bolton (a)
Hull (h)
Sunderland (a)
Everton (h)
West Ham (a)
Spurs (h)

Last year they also had a softish start to their campaign and they started well only for the tougher fixtures and a thin squad to tell later on. I expect the same this year. Plus Man Utd may well start slowly with their injury worries.

Anyway, here's the bet. Back Arsenal now for the title, and then lay out entirely after around ten games. They are a shade over 5/1 now and hopefully we'll be able to get out under 3/1.

Trade: Arsenal £30 win at 5/1+

Barking Bets” (Banked £775/Current bank £2979)
Possibles Yarmouth 2:20 and Beverley 4:50 – the listed race at Salisbury could also have potential. Probably no bet though – we're effectively one bet ahead this week so far and in no rush.

    Hi there

First things first - I subscribe to the blog via Google Reader and enjoy it every day - keep up the good work.

Very impressed with that Arsenal bet. Very well spotted and thought out. Sadly my money is tied up with an arb in the Olympics so can't partake this time around but I'll certainly take a closer look at that type of bet in future.

For some reason Arsenal are 6/1 with Ladbrokes and Skybet but only 6.2 to back on BF which is quite frustrating for you I'm sure.

I don't know why the arb boys aren't snapping this up.

Anyway keep up the good work
